School Library Media Specialist (SLMS)
The SLMS is interested in providing the resources and information necessary for students to become life-long learners. Also, reliant on media center success are increases for the SLMS in professional development, job security, and financial compensation; which in turn enhances her stake in the program.

Paraprofessional
Shares the same interest as the SLMS.

Students
Students have an interest in using media center resources for their school assignments, activities and to pursue personal interests.

Faculty
Faculty interest in the SLMC revolves around lesson plan support provided. Support includes student access to media center resources that enhance learning, as well as professional resources. Student achievement is reliant on teachers therefor this support is essential to student success, which is the faculty's primary goal. Also, the media center provides a multi-purpose space that can be used for faculty meetings and extracurricular activities. Faculty members that lead extracurricular student groups, such as chess and journalism clubs, they have an interest in the media center supporting these clubs by providing meeting areas, technology and information resources.

Parents
Parents want their children to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Their interest, therefore, is in how the SLMC supports the curriculum so their children receive the education and resources necessary for them to succeed academically, as well as student's recreational use.

Principal – The principal is also interested in the media center supporting the school curriculum so that teachers have another resource to help them achieve their goals and ultimately the school’s goals in providing a quality education as defined by state and federal standards. Furthermore, the principal wants the media center to help the school improve on state test scores since higher scores lead to increased funding for the school. The principal is also a stakeholder because this is her job and the media center must do well for her to be successful in her chosen profession, which in turn means job security and financial stability.

School Superintendent
The superintendent’s interest is for the media center to support the faculty in ensuring students continue to show improvement in the state school-grading program. The superintendent is also a stakeholder because this is his job and the media center must do well for him to be successful in his chosen profession, which in turn mean job security and financial stability.

School Board
The school board shares the same interest as the school superintendent.

School District of Lafayette County
This stakeholder has similar interests to the school superintendent and board.

Lafayette County Community Members
Community members’ interests are similar those of the parents. Community members also look towards graduates to improve the community by becoming contributing members, therefore successful school programs are important to them. Furthermore, they want the media center to help the school succeed since reputable schools may draw families into the county. Finally, as tax payers the community also has a stake in the school because they provide funding required to run the school.

Local Area Employers
Businesses' interest in the media center supporting the school curriculum in preparing students to become productive employees.

Local Radio and News Stations
Have an interest in the media center’s collaboration with the journalism club in the production of the school news program developed by students because they hire students from the school to work as interns.

Local Area Colleges
Colleges are interested in the media center’s role in encouraging and preparing students to attend college.

Local Area Libraries
Libraries are interested in the media center motivating students to read and utilize library services to find information.

Book Sellers
Booksellers are interested in helping the media center expand its collection.

Technology and Software Providers
These providers are interested in expanding the media center’s hardware and software for company growth.

Assistive Technology Providers
These organizations are interested in connecting with users because providing goods and services to individuals with special needs fulfills the mission of their organizations.
